We are excited to share that Digital Stack has integrated with Google My Business! This gives you one more way to maintain your business’ online presence. Manage your profile across Google, including search and maps, by sharing your business’s message and helping customers find you. Use GMB to update and manage how your business’ information appears online, share photos, offers and promote events to your customers- new and old!
With this integration, you can schedule and publish a standard post, offer or event directly to your GMB account.
Why use Google My Business?
Google drives the most amount of traffic to a company website/ location page. And of all that Google traffic, a significant amount can come from the business listings section in GMB. In other words, this is a very effective traffic source to use!
By managing your own listing, you are decided what information Google uses to display to searchers. This included the products and services you offer. The best part? According to a study done by Google, businesses that verify, fill out their listings and post to GMB are twice as likely to be considered as reputable by customers. As a minimum, you should make sure that when a prospect or customer finds your business via search or maps, they see your operating hours, website, phone number and address!
You can also respond to reviews, answer questions and post photos. This is a great way to show off your facilities and what you do. Here is another stat from Google that should interest you; businesses that add photos to their listings receive 42% more requests for driving directions on Google Maps and 35% more clicks through to their websites than businesses that don’t.
This is all great, right? But the real value comes when you can use these insights to expand your business and refine your marketing strategies. This can be done in a few ways. Use the GMB reporting integrations to see how users search for your business and how many called directly via the number listed. Then use this data to create and track the performance of your Smart campaigns to raise awareness and the bottom line of your business.

“I’m convinced, so now what?”
Great! First, make sure you have access to your GMB account. If you haven’t claimed ownership or been added to your GMB account as a manager, make sure you do so in order to take advantage of this integration!
Watch the attached video for a demo so you can optimize this platform and schedule content ahead of time, just like you do for social.
Finally, just like other platform integrations, you must authorise your Google My Business account in order to publish this content. So, make sure that is done in the Connect section.
Currently, GMB only allows smaller scale brands to utilize this feature, so brands with 10 or less locations are good to go. The good news is, Digital Stack is ready for when the integration opens up to larger brands. In the meantime all assets can be downloaded and posted to GMB manually!
